Peter Fischer of Lake Edge Cottages presents Mary Power, volunteer of the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society, with a $1,000 cheque on Aug. 27, 2007. The donation will go towards LAWS' Raise the Woof Campaign to build a brand new shelter. LAWS operates a no-kill shelter and Lake Edge Cottages has been donating a portion of their pet fees to them since 2003.
